I never played the first one but I found a fast torrent for ME2 and decided to give it a shot. If you're looking for a great single-player game, this is it. I cannot recommend it more highly....

Already beat it. Its a lot shorter then ME1, but better combat system, more linear storylines, etc.

I didn't play the first one so the story isn't overly dependent on the first.

Great game but can be a little redundant at times.
